Get to safety and check for injuries

Stop your car, turn off your engine and turn on your hazard lights to warn others.

Check for any injuries to you and your passengers first. For minor accidents where no one is injured and the road is not blocked, you do not need to call for emergency services.

If you're able to, get out of the vehicle and make sure you're safely away from the road, ideally behind a barrier if there is one. Then, contact us first on 0800 015 0367 for support and free priority recovery.

Other parties may react differently to an accident, but keeping calm is the best way to make sure you take the right steps forward.

The Mazda Accident Aftercare service is available in the UK when you call Mazda first on 0800 015 0367 following an accident. The service is not available for misfuelling claims. For standalone glass claims, we can refer you to our glass provider, but this will be subject to the terms and conditions of your own insurance policy.

Complimentary accident recovery is provided for unroadworthy vehicles only. If you cancel the recovery of your vehicle, any cancellation charges incurred will be at your cost. A replacement car is provided subject to availability for accident repairs (excluding standalone glass repairs/replacements) carried out by a Mazda Approved Bodyshop. We may provide a courtesy car for the period of the repair if the incident is your fault, or if the incident is not your fault, we may also be able to provide a like-for-like hire car, subject to your eligibility.

If the incident is your fault, in some instances where your insurer may not let us report the claim to them on your behalf, we will ask you to report to them advising that you are using our Mazda Accident Aftercare service with a Mazda Approved Bodyshop. Some insurers may charge an additional excess for using our repairers, so we will ensure that you check your policy prior to repairs starting.
